Definitely not the commercial Maldives you see in the resort ads, this lodge on the right is where I\’ll be living for the next few weeks. It\’s a small local village, with few surfer backpacker types, and next door to the Mosque which blasts the first prayer calls from that speaker at the top of the tower at 5:30 am. People are plenty cool, life is cheap and simple.. i got some good waves already.. and for sure.. will get much more.
